Custodians and Bus Drivers are represented by SEIU Local 199 in two separate bargaining units. The District has seen enrollment decline in each of the last five years. This has created a difficult environment for members of the Custodial bargaining unit in particular. They have seen their numbers decline by nearly 20% in just the last year.  

The district’s custodians recently agreed to a three-year contract with a 3.25 percent increase each year. In addition they won a longevity bonus and an increase in the shift differential.
