Welcome to UIHC Chapter of SEIU Local 199.
We represent 2500 professional and scientific members at the University of Iowa Health Care. We organized in 1998 to gain a voice in the decisions that affect patient care and our work environment. Our members include a wide range of professionals, including nurses, respiratory therapists, clinical lab scientists, dietitians, social workers and pharmacists, to name a few. We negotiate a new contract every two years for improvements that help recruit and retain qualified staff.
