SEIU Local 199 represents all care giving staff in this senior retirement home located an hour northeast of Cedar Rapids. Represented are Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, Dietary staff, Housekeeping staff and maintenance staff. Staff organized with Local 199 in 1997 in order to enhance their ability to speak with a unified voice and to improve the quality of care they could provide residents of this community nursing home.
